About the collection

Written by the Plenthera team (trained in orthomolecular nutrition). Scientifically reviewed in September 2026. Last updated: 22 September 2026.

Some customers search not by brand but by active ingredient: 'what do you have with collagen?' or 'I'm looking for something with hyaluronic acid'. This page groups our beauty products — supplements and external care — by ingredient. Handy for comparing in a targeted way without first scrolling through all the brands.

Key ingredients

Collagen (oral)

Hydrolysed collagen, usually 2.5–10 g per day in studies, is being researched in relation to skin hydration and elasticity (de Miranda et al. 2021). At Plenthera as fish collagen, bovine collagen, bone broth collagen and in combination formulas.

Hyaluronic acid

A substance naturally present in the body that binds water in skin and connective tissue. Oral hyaluronic acid (120–240 mg per day) is being researched in relation to skin hydration (Oe et al. 2017).

Vitamin C

"Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin." At Plenthera, among others, as a wholefood powder from acerola and lemon (Plantforce Vitamine C-Complex).

Biotin

"Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair" and "… of normal skin". A deficiency is rare with a varied diet.

Zinc

"Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair", "… of normal nails" and "… of normal skin".

Tallow (external)

Purified beef fat with a fatty acid profile similar to the skin's own sebum. Popular for dry and sensitive skin.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have products with retinol?

We do not currently stock cosmetics with retinol. You can find vitamin A from food sources in our category vitamin A and in organ meat supplements.

What is the difference between oral and external?

Oral products work via digestion throughout the body; external products work locally on the skin. The official health claims, such as those for vitamin C and collagen formation, apply to intake.

Can I combine supplements and external care?

Certainly. Many people combine nutrition from within (collagen, vitamin C, omega 3) with targeted care from the outside.
