Why this recipe works

Turmeric and ginger have been used in Indian cuisine and Ayurveda for centuries. Black pepper contains piperine, and the coconut oil provides some fat. Together, they make golden milk a classic. You can read more about turmeric in MSM, turmeric or enzymes: this is what's really behind it.

Add a scoop of Pure Marine Collagen? Then you get 10 grams of collagen and 160 mg of vitamin C per cup. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage.

Tips & variations

  • Make a batch of 'golden paste': mix turmeric, pepper and coconut oil with a little water into a paste. Store in the refrigerator for a maximum of one week.
  • Note: turmeric stains clothes and countertops.
  • Are you taking blood thinners? Then consult your doctor first if you want to use turmeric daily.
