ABOUT THE BRAND

Sunwarrior

Sunwarrior started somewhere in the back of a health store in a small desert town, when two friends rejected the unacceptable proteins on the market and looked to nature again for something better.

Sunwarrior believes that plants provide the cleanest and most powerful nutrition, rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients that we are only just beginning to understand. Our bodies need real food, especially in this day and age when food is heavily processed, removing all benefits and nutritional value before we have a chance to use them.

About Sunwarrior

Sunwarrior is an American plant-based sports nutrition brand, founded in 2008, known for four protein lines: Classic (pure rice), Classic Plus (rice blend), Warrior Blend (pea-hemp-goji) and Active Protein (wholefood shake). Vegan, gluten-free, no artificial sweeteners.

What is Protein Classic Plus?

Sunwarrior Protein Classic Plus is a blend of rice protein with pea, chia and quinoa — for a more complete amino acid profile than pure rice. Plus means: complemented with extra protein sources. Authorised EFSA claim: protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass (with at least 12% of the energy from protein).

How do you use it?

Dosage

1 scoop (approx. 30 g) per serving provides about 20-22 g protein.

When to take

Within 1-2 hours after training, as breakfast or as a protein-rich snack. Mix into water, plant milk or a smoothie.

Frequently asked questions

What is Sunwarrior Protein Classic Plus?

A blend of rice protein with pea, chia and quinoa — for a more complete amino acid profile than pure rice.

How much protein is in Sunwarrior Protein Classic Plus?

About 20-22 g protein per scoop of approx. 30 g. See the label for each flavour and size for the exact value.

Which flavours does Sunwarrior have?

Most lines come in Vanilla, Chocolate, Berry or Natural. This may vary per line.

Is Sunwarrior sweetened with stevia?

Yes — Sunwarrior uses stevia or monk fruit, no sucralose or aspartame.

Does Sunwarrior work as well as whey protein?

For muscle building, the leucine dose per serving is important. Plant proteins generally contain slightly less leucine per gram than whey; a slightly larger serving or a blend of several sources — such as Classic Plus — compensates for this (Pinckaers 2022, Monteyne 2023).

Which Sunwarrior product suits me?

Classic = pure rice, simple. Classic Plus = complemented blend, more complete. Warrior Blend = creamier, with goji and hemp. Active Protein = the most complete shake for an active lifestyle.
