Quick info

  • Servings: 1 serving
  • Prep time: 10 minutes
  • Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredient list

  • 200 g Greek yoghurt or kefir (full-fat, unprocessed)
  • 1 teaspoon (3 g) Big Food Psyllium Husk Pure & Organic (private label)
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 100 g mixed berries (fresh — blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats (raw, for crunch)

  • 1 teaspoon honey (preferably local)
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional: a few fresh mint leaves

Preparation

  1. Spoon the yogurt or kefir into a deep bowl.
  2. Stir in the psyllium powder. Wait 1-2 minutes—it will thicken slightly.
  3. Add the chia seeds and mix briefly.
  4. Arrange berries and banana slices on top in a nice spiral.
  5. Sprinkle with oats, walnuts, and cinnamon.
  6. Drizzle honey over it, garnish with mint leaves.

Why this recipe works

Kefir and Greek yoghurt contain live lactic acid bacteria, such as Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains. Big Food Psyllium adds soluble fibre. Chia seeds and walnuts provide omega-3 fatty acids (ALA). Berries add colour and freshness. A fibre-rich breakfast bowl with fermented dairy.
