Elke Dag 50+ – 60 tablets

Vitals Elke Dag 50+ is a complete multivitamin specially formulated for men and women aged 50 and over, based on recent scientific insights and current food consumption surveys. The formula is free from iron, copper and manganese. Complemented by four carotenoids, Q10, alpha-lipoic acid, hesperidin and pterostilbene.

• Active B vitamins: B2 (riboflavin-5’-phosphate), B6 (pyridoxal-5’-phosphate), B12 (methyl- + adenosylcobalamin), folate (5-MTHF, Quatrefolic®)
• Generous choline (VitaCholine®, 85 mg) — choline contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism and to the maintenance of normal liver function*
• 35 µg vitamin D3 per tablet (Vitamin D3V®, from algae) — vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function and to the normal function of the immune system*

Use

Take 1 tablet per day with a meal and water. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Not suitable for children aged 10 and under (because of the high vitamin D dose of 35 µg per tablet).

Please note

The vitamin K in this product makes it unsuitable for concurrent use with coumarin derivatives (anticoagulants such as acenocoumarol and phenprocoumon). Consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Why does Elke Dag 50+ not contain iron and copper?

Elke Dag 50+ is deliberately formulated without iron and copper.

Why does the product contain active B vitamins?

The Elke Dag multis contain only biologically active forms of vitamin B2 (riboflavin-5’-phosphate), B6 (pyridoxal-5’-phosphate), B12 (methyl- and adenosylcobalamin) and folate (5-MTHF, Quatrefolic®). These are the forms the body can use directly, without intermediate conversion steps.

Why does it contain so much vitamin D3 (35 µg)?

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function. EFSA has set the tolerable upper intake level for vitamin D at 100 µg per day. Elke Dag 50+ contains 35 µg (1400 IU) per tablet.

What is K2VITAL™ DELTA?

K2VITAL™ DELTA is a patented, micro-encapsulated form of vitamin K2 (MK-7) that remains stable in combination with calcium and magnesium — a technical challenge in multivitamins. Vitals has had the stability independently tested.

What is Quatrefolic®?

Quatrefolic® is the brand name of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) bound to a glucosamine salt. 5-MTHF is the form of folate that occurs naturally in the body.

Is the product suitable for vegans?

Yes, Elke Dag 50+ is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The vitamin D3 comes from algae (Vitamin D3V®).

How long do 60 tablets last?

At the recommended daily dose of 1 tablet, a jar of 60 tablets lasts for 60 days.
