Trace Minerals is an American brand from Ogden (Utah) that specialises in electrolytes and liquid minerals. The basis of almost all its products is ConcenTrace®: a mineral concentrate from the water of the Great Salt Lake. At Plenthera you will find the electrolyte drinks ZeroLyte, Endure and Electrolyte Stamina and a range of ionic mineral drops.
About Trace Minerals
The Great Salt Lake in Utah is a salt lake with no outlet to the sea, which causes minerals to accumulate in the water. Trace Minerals lets this water evaporate in the sun and thus obtains ConcenTrace®: a liquid concentrate that mainly contains magnesium and chloride, supplemented with small amounts of other trace elements. This concentrate is used in the electrolyte formulas and in the drops, in which the brand combines it with individual minerals or vitamins.
The minerals are dissolved in water (ionic form), so you can easily mix them into a drink. Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance. Potassium contributes to normal muscle function.

Electrolytes
- ZeroLyte (30 sachets; Salty Berry Lemonade, Salty Citrus, Salty Mango, Salty Orange and Salty Watermelon): a sugar-free electrolyte drink with, per sachet, 1,000 mg sodium, 1,500 mg chloride, 500 mg potassium and 80 mg magnesium, plus ConcenTrace® and coconut water powder.
- Endure (118 ml): liquid electrolytes with, per ½ teaspoon, 150 mg potassium, 100 mg sodium, 45 mg magnesium and chloride.
- Electrolyte Stamina (90 tablets): per 6 tablets 250 mg magnesium, 590 mg potassium, 270 mg sodium, 5 mg iron and 2 mg vitamin B6, with ConcenTrace®, taurine and kelp.
Ionic mineral drops
- Mega-Mag (118 ml): 400 mg magnesium per 4 ml. That is above the safe upper limit of 250 mg that EFSA uses for magnesium from supplements; at a high dose, magnesium can loosen stools. Consider a smaller serving or consult your doctor or therapist.
- Ionic Copper (59 ml): 3 mg copper per ¼ teaspoon. Copper contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
- Liquid Iron (56 ml): 22 mg iron (ferrous sulphate) per 24 drops. Iron contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Intended for targeted, temporary use; preferably have an iron deficiency confirmed first.
- Ionic Zinc (59 ml, clearance): 50 mg zinc and 2 mg copper per 25 drops. That is above the safe upper limit of 25 mg zinc per day set by EFSA; therefore do not use it long term and consult your doctor.
- Ionic D3 + K2 (59 ml): according to the label, 125 µg vitamin D3 and 100 µg vitamin K2 (MK-7) per 4 drops. That is above the safe upper limit of 100 µg vitamin D per day set by EFSA; therefore consult your doctor first. If you use coumarin-type anticoagulants, do not take vitamin K without consulting your doctor or anticoagulation clinic.
How do you use Trace Minerals?
- ZeroLyte: stir 1 sachet into a glass of cold water.
- Endure and the mineral drops: mix the serving stated on the label into water, juice or another drink.
- Electrolyte Stamina: according to the label, spread over the day.
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you combine several products, add up the amounts of magnesium, zinc, iron and vitamin D.

Frequently asked questions
What is Trace Minerals?
An American brand from Ogden (Utah) that makes electrolytes and liquid minerals based on ConcenTrace®, a mineral concentrate from the water of the Great Salt Lake.
What is ConcenTrace®?
A concentrated mineral solution created by letting water from the Great Salt Lake evaporate in the sun. It mainly contains magnesium and chloride, plus small amounts of other trace elements.
Which Trace Minerals electrolytes does Plenthera stock?
ZeroLyte sachets in five flavours, the drop formula Endure and Electrolyte Stamina tablets.
How do you use the mineral drops?
Mix the serving stated on the label into water, juice or another drink. Undiluted, the drops are very concentrated.
Why do the drops taste salty or bitter?
Because of the natural minerals, especially magnesium chloride. Diluting them in a large glass of drink or juice makes the taste milder.
Can I combine several Trace Minerals products?
You can, but add up the amounts, especially of magnesium, zinc, iron and vitamin D, and stay within the recommended daily dose per product.
