About Care products

Written by the Plenthera team (trained in orthomolecular nutrition). Scientifically reviewed in September 2026. Last updated: 22 September 2026.

Personal care products without synthetic fragrances, colourings or parabens — deliberately selected for a simple, transparent ingredient list. For those who value content over packaging. Here you will find skincare such as Plent Tallow Balm, pure oils and shea butter, haircare, and supplements that care for skin and hair from within.

What to avoid in personal care products?

Without dogma: many people avoid parabens, synthetic fragrances ('parfum' on the label says little about the composition), silicones that can build up in the hair, microplastics and a lot of alcohol for dry skin. Read the ingredient list (INCI): the further down an ingredient appears, the lower its concentration.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly are 'natural' personal care products?

There is no legal definition. In practice: products with mainly plant or animal ingredients of known origin, without synthetic preservatives, fragrances or colourings.

Is tallow good for the skin?

Tallow has a fatty acid profile similar to that of the skin's own sebum and is a popular natural alternative to synthetic moisturisers. Many people use it on dry or sensitive skin; if your skin is prone to blemishes, test on a small area first.

What is magnesium oil spray?

A solution of magnesium chloride (for example KiKi Health Magnesium Oil Spray with Zechstein Inside®) applied to the skin, for example after exercise or as part of an evening ritual. Whether magnesium is absorbed through the skin in meaningful amounts is still scientifically uncertain; the authorised magnesium claims apply to oral intake.

Does natural care really work?

Many active ingredients in 'clinical' cosmetics — such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid — are also naturally derived or nature-identical. The difference often lies in the vehicle, concentration and marketing. What matters most remains consistency and a product that suits your skin type.

Are these products cruelty-free?

In the EU, animal testing for cosmetics is banned (Regulation (EC) 1223/2009). Our selected brands comply with this.
