About this privacy policy
Plenthera is a trade name of Plent B.V. We only process the personal data needed to provide and improve our services, and we handle the information we collect about you and your use of our webshop with care. We never sell your data to third parties.
This policy describes which data we collect, what we use it for, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, how we secure it and what rights you have. Questions? Contact our privacy contact person; the details are at the bottom of this page.

With whom we share your data
We only share your data with parties needed to provide our services. With all these parties we have a data processing agreement, or they are independently responsible under their own privacy policy.
Webshop platform
Shopify – our webshop, customer accounts and payment environment run on Shopify. Shopify stores your order and account data securely and uses it solely to provide the service to us. Shopify complies with the GDPR and applies appropriate security measures, including SSL encryption and secure data storage.
Payments
Shopify Payments processes our online payments (iDEAL/Wero, Bancontact, credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, Klarna and MobilePay). If you choose to pay in instalments with in3, that payment is processed via Mollie. The payment provider processes your name, address and payment details (such as account or card number); we ourselves have no access to your full card or account details. Payment providers do not keep data longer than legally permitted.
Shipping and logistics
Monta handles the storage and shipping of our orders. For this we share your name, address, email address and telephone number, and the contents of your order. Monta shares this data with the carrier delivering your parcel, depending on the country and the delivery option you chose: PostNL, DHL, GLS, UPS or DPD. The carrier uses your data to deliver the parcel and to keep you informed about the delivery.
Email and marketing
Klaviyo – we send newsletters and service emails with Klaviyo. Klaviyo processes your name, email address, order data and your interaction with our emails (opens, clicks) to improve the quality of our mailings. You will find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every newsletter.
OneLoyalty – the loyalty programme with which you earn points on orders. This involves processing your account data and order history. You will receive automatic emails about your points balance and when points expire.
Customer service
Trengo – our customer service via email, chat and WhatsApp runs through Trengo. Your messages and contact details are stored there so that we can answer and retrieve your question.
Reviews
WebwinkelKeur and Trustpilot – after an order you may receive an invitation to write a review. For this we share your name, email address and order number with the review platform. If you post a review, your name will be published with it. These platforms may contact you for clarification of your review.
Affiliate and advertising partners
BixGrow – our affiliate programme. If you order via an affiliate link or code, that link or code is linked to your order to calculate the affiliate's commission. The affiliate does not receive any of your personal data.
External sales channels
Bol.com and other marketplaces – if you order from us via a marketplace, we receive your order and address details from that platform in order to fulfil the order. The privacy policy of the platform concerned also applies.
Administration
E-conomic – for our bookkeeping and invoicing we share name, address and order data with E-conomic and with our accountant. These parties are bound by confidentiality and use the data solely for administrative purposes.
Government
Plent B.V. may be legally required to share data in connection with a tax or criminal investigation. In that case we will object to this within the possibilities offered by law.
Transfers outside the EU
Some of our suppliers (such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Google and Meta) process data outside the European Economic Area. They do so on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, so that your data also has an appropriate level of protection there.
Retention periods
- Customer account: for as long as your account exists. You can have your account deleted; we treat that as a request to be forgotten.
- Orders and invoices: 7 years after the financial year, under the statutory tax retention obligation.
- Customer service conversations: up to 2 years after the last contact.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data: up to 26 months (Google Analytics), then anonymised.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. On your first visit, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies via the cookie banner; you can change your choice at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the website.
- Essential cookies – for the basket, logging in, checkout and security. No consent is required for these.
- Analytics cookies – Google Analytics and ProfitMetrics, to measure how visitors use the website and which ads lead to sales.
- Marketing cookies – Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Klaviyo, to tailor ads and emails to your interests and to measure the effect of campaigns.
Google and Meta may combine the data collected via cookies with other data they hold; see their own privacy policies for details.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access: encrypted connections (SSL), two-factor authentication on our systems, restricted staff access and data processing agreements with all our suppliers.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing. You can also withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Send your request to the contact person below; you will receive a response within 30 days. To prevent misuse, we only send copies of data to the email address known to us and we may ask you to verify your identity.
We do not make decisions based on automated individual decision-making or profiling with legal effects for you.
If you believe we are misusing your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
We may change this privacy policy. You will always find the most recent version on this page. If a change affects the way we process data already collected, we will inform you by email.
