About the collection

Plent Tallow is a skin balm based on purified tallow (beef fat) from grass-fed cattle, without synthetic emulsifiers or preservatives. Tallow contains fatty acids that also occur in the skin's own lipids, such as oleic acid and palmitic acid. This makes it a rich, nourishing base for dry skin. The balm melts at skin temperature and is gradually absorbed.

Why tallow?
Tallow is one of humanity's oldest skincare products. The fat consists mainly of oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid — fatty acids that are also found in the skin's lipids. That is why tallow feels familiar on the skin for many people and is often well tolerated.
Plent opts for short ingredient lists: purified grass-fed tallow supplemented with one plant oil and, in the scented variants, a natural essential oil. The variant with Vitamin E additionally contains tocopherol (vitamin E).
The four variants
- Tallow Balsem Naturel — purified tallow and argan oil. Unscented, without added fragrances or colourings.
- Tallow Balsem met Vitamine E — tallow and argan oil with added vitamin E (tocopherol) and rosemary and lemon oil.
- Tallow Balsem met Castorolie — tallow and castor oil with a light grapefruit scent. Rich texture.
- Tallow Balsem Eucalyptus (For Men) — tallow and jojoba oil with eucalyptus. For face, beard area and body.
All variants come in a 120 ml jar. The exact INCI list is on the product page.
How do you use Plent Tallow?
Take a small amount of balm on your finger — it melts at skin temperature. Massage it into dry skin on the face, hands, body or lips. Preferably use it in the evening; during the day a thin layer works under sunscreen or make-up. If you have sensitive or blemish-prone skin, test it on a small patch of skin first — especially with the variants containing essential oil.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly is in Plent Tallow?
Purified tallow from grass-fed cattle with one plant oil (argan, castor or jojoba oil) and, depending on the variant, a natural essential oil. The Naturel variant contains only tallow and argan oil; the variant with Vitamin E additionally contains tocopherol. See the product page for the exact INCI list.
Will I smell of fat if I use tallow?
Well-purified tallow has a neutral, light scent — no meat or broth smell. If the balm smells rancid, stop using it.
Is tallow suitable for sensitive skin?
Many people tolerate tallow well, but every skin reacts differently. Start with a thin layer on a small patch of skin. With sensitive skin, preferably choose the unscented Naturel variant. If you have a skin condition, seek advice from your doctor or dermatologist first.
Is tallow comedogenic?
Tallow scores relatively low on the comedogenic scale, but the reaction varies per person. Test on a small patch of skin first before using it on your whole face.
How do I store Plent Tallow?
At room temperature and out of direct sunlight. In summer the balm can become softer or liquid — that is not a problem. Stored cool, it becomes harder.
Is tallow vegan or cruelty-free?
Tallow is an animal product (beef fat) and therefore not vegan. Animal testing for cosmetics is banned in the EU (Regulation (EC) 1223/2009).
