About Super fruit

Superfruit is a collective term for fruits with remarkably high vitamin, phytonutrient, or antioxidant content. Acerola and camu camu are among the world's highest natural vitamin C sources; baobab is rich in fiber and antioxidants; açaí and goji are rich in polyphenols. Wholefood supplementation offers vitamin C in its natural matrix with bioflavonoids – often better tolerated by many than synthetic ascorbic acid in high doses.

Our superfruit products
- Acerola — wholefood vitamin C — 1500-4500 mg per 100 g fruit
- Camu Camu — extremely high vitamin C — 2000-3000 mg per 100 g
- Vitamin C — all vitamin C supplements (synthetic + wholefood)
Why wholefood vitamin C?
Synthetic ascorbic acid and wholefood vitamin C from acerola or camu camu show comparable absorption curves in studies. The difference lies in the matrix: wholefood also provides bioflavonoids, tannins, and other co-factors. For high therapeutic dosages (>1 g), buffered forms or liposomal C are more practical due to digestive tolerance.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between acerola and camu camu?
Both are extremely high in vitamin C. Camu camu (Amazonas) has a slightly higher raw vitamin C content; acerola has a more balanced profile and is common in European supplementation.
How much superfruit powder should I take?
For acerola powders: 1-5 g per day provides 50-300 mg of vitamin C. For a targeted high dose (1+ g vitamin C), synthetic variants are more practical.
Is wholefood vitamin C more effective than synthetic?
Hardly for absorption itself. Wholefood does provide additional co-factors and is often better tolerated. For high doses, synthetic with bioflavonoids is an excellent alternative.
Do superfruits contain oxalates?
Some (especially spinach and beetroot powder, limited acerola/camu camu) contain oxalates. For people with a history of kidney stones: moderate intake and consult a doctor.
