There's currently a great deal of scientific interest in various forms of vitamin B3, such as nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and nicotinamide riboside (NR). NMN has even made headlines. What's often overlooked is that nicotinamide, like NMN and NR, also plays a key role in the production of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD). NAD is a crucial intermediate in our energy metabolism.

A coenzyme assists an enzyme in the proper functioning of a specific chemical reaction. Crucial role for NADHere we delve a little deeper into the crucial role of NAD. NAD is very special because it occurs in all living things. Electrons from nutrient conversions are captured (along with hydrogen ions) by NAD, forming the electron-rich NADH (the H in NADH stands for hydrogen). These electrons are then transported by NADH to the site where they are released. After a subsequent chain of reactions, this ultimately creates the universal fuel ATP. With ATP, the body can run all the processes necessary to maintain proper functioning.

NAD is partially used in certain reactions in the body, which is why we need to get enough vitamin B3 daily. Directions for use
